And the bartender says...

The pony on the left (the one with the beer) is Julius. The pegasus on his right is Tiberius. They're best friends. They're also both guard ponies--those aren't space suits they're wearing, they're Guardian Mark II reactive-armor systems.

Tiberius is trying to relax after a long week of patrolling the skies, but the unicorn on the right is hitting on him. She's pretty drunk, drunk enough that she spilled her cocktail. She doesn't care. Tiberius thinks it's annoying. Julius thinks it's hilarious.

The griffin behind the bar is Goldcrest. She owns the pub.

I'm resisting the urge to keep working on this. If I work on it any more it'll never be done.

Interesting art... I do like the design on both Julius and Tiberius (in teh drawing itself I find Julius looking way cooler... about 20% cooler

)... but this is kinda "adult" for MLP

What exactly do you like better about the sketch? I know the gold plates on Julius's armor didn't come out quite the way I was expecting (they're supposed to make him look cool, but in my opinion they make him look like the Michelin Man).

And "adult"? I guess you could call it that, because of the unicorn's expression. I've seen pictures that are a lot, lot, lot, lot worse, though. Example: I find a cool sketch on a forum somewhere. I look at it and think "oh cool, the artist signed it. And I can actually read his signature! Let's see what other stuff he's done." I google his name. "Oh hey, he has a tumblr..." *click*... "OH. HE HAS A TUMBLR."

Hard to say specifically... maybe it's because Julius is seen in a profile, while Tiberius is showing his back, but Julius' armor seem more fitting... plus, when I saw him, he kinda reminded me of that Schwarzenegger-parody pony who kepts yelling "YEAH"

And I didn't meant "adult" in a bad sense... true, I prefer MLP art to stick with its original content, but a tasteful maturity is welcomed (it's a different story to see ponies sucking cock of one another x_x). Generally the bar gave me an impression of some steam sci-fi genre, reminding me of some series placed in a "fantasy" setting which plays homeage to technology around World War II time with different add-ons in the mix.

No problem! I think when I switched from the sketch to the colored picture, I erased a lot of extra lines that had been making Julius's armor seem more detailed. Anyway, this is a scene from a fanfic I never finished writing, and the fic was set in a sci-fi Equestria where spells are like computer programs and magic powers lots of high-tech devices.
